Rear Deck Speakers

What's up Fellow Max owners. I just recently purchased 2012 LE Max S. I noticed i wasn't getting any sound out of the rear deck speakers. Went back to dealer for the 30day complimentary check and the service advisor told me they were woofers. Ok but I'm still not getting any sound, he says I'm not gonna notice unless i hook up an amp or put different speakers in. Has anyone had this problem before or could offer any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes, those rear deck speakers are only for bass. If you are not hearing bass coming from those speakers, they may be defective. Check your fuses to make sure none of those have blown.

The guy at the dealer is full of it. Why would speakers come from the factory in the car & then you have to add an amp?

That's pretty much the gist of it. I checked the fuses they were fine. Im guessing the original owner blew them out. Which bogggles my mind seeing that the volume before you lose sound quality depending on what you listen too is 24....And the back door speakers 😒smh. Looks like a speaker overhaul is in store lol.

Yeah, keep your max away from that clown!

It sucks having to replace stuff you weren't planning on, but now you can upgrade .
