300,000 Mile Event

Turned over 300,000 miles last night with my 09 SV on the way home from work and thought I would share a quick photo.

That gives me hope that I can make it to 200k in mine, (currently at 101k). The most miles I've ever put on any car was 188k. Congrats, did you have any cvt issues or other major parts fail during this period?

Most things i had were "infant mortality" that occured the first year, like climate controlled seat, radiator fan, battery, and a piece of sunroof trim.

Outside of warranty as far as failures (not counting damage from suicidal racoons and tire carcasses on the road) the alternator went at around 250,000, a tpms sensor at 225,000. Everything else, tires, belts, brakes, shocks, ball joints, tire rod ends, plugs, etc I replaced as part of my normal preventive maintenance schedules. Shoot, even the brakes were still half used when I replaced them in the 225,000 range.

No cvt issues, but i drained and filled every 60k and when i found there was an actual filter for our cvt, replaced that with a "flush" of new fluid and dropped the pan to see if anything was amiss at around 280,000.

I even replaced my diehard when I got the last set of tires as it was 50 months old Before failure.

As i mentioned, most work I have done was preventative as part of "my" normal maintenace routines.

The only time I thought i had a Cvt issue is when the alternator failed with no idiot light or code. I could crank the engine, run it in neutral or park to 4000 rpm but with low voltage, our cvts will NOT move the car as the computer will not let the engine rev in gear without sufficient voltage.

She continues to be one of the most dependable vehicles I have ever had!

Fantastic and congratulations on 300,000 mile stone!!! I sure hope I can reach that with no major issues.

BTW, I just reached 100,000 miles on my 2013 Lexus ES300H UL fully loaded...not one issue . My Lexus has a CVT transmission but it's sealed...maintenance-free.

Wow man, that is something. Congratulations. Let me ask: do you feel like she's still got a lot of life left in her?? Amazing, though, at any rate.

Impressive dedication.

It is nice to see others that are vigilant about maintenance and enjoy the rewards of this lifestyle!

I bet all your mechanical toys and house are just as well maintained, perhaps you also keep yourself as well toned

Were it not for the cosmetic signs of aging that I will address this winter when the rains dry up and it gets cooler here in Fl, she looks and feels better than new....we are very comfortable together. We're it not such a PITA to change plugs, I would probably go for a million miles, but right now, another set at 375,000 and make it to 500,000 and I will reevaluate at that time.

Congrats! You give the rest of us hope. Though I did notice you are in Florida.
Every time I get under my car that has only 90k, the amount of rust does not inspire me. I am in CT.
I am looking forward to plugs change. Just did front brakes and coolant. I thought you were kidding about your brake pads having life left. At 90k I still had at least 20-30k left in the pads. However the rotors were pulsing due to all the rust build up on the hubs.
