swapping headlights

So my left headlight is pretty much trashed. It's a xenon headlight, I saw a pair of regular headlights for 200 I'm wondering how hard is it to just get regular headlights and in a week or 2 get an HID conversion kit and waste 300 instead of wasting 300 for each oem xenon headlight. Anyone have any input that could help?

I would avoid the HID conversion. I did that on my Altima for awhile and here is what I can tell you. They were unreliable, with one failing to come on quite often. The light pattern won't be anything like your OEM Xenon due to the halogen being a reflector and the Xenon being projector. People will flash their lights at you much more often. You will end up fiddling with it every so often, then eventually take them out and put halogens back in.

I would buy the best used one on eBay. It will cost you less in the long run.
