Recommendations on plastic floor mats?
Hi everyone, I've got the stock black floor mats - I wanted to put some plastic see through mats on top to prevent the stock one from getting dirty. Any recommendations on where I might be able to buy something like this?

x2 on Weathertechs. I put them in all cars our kids ride in. My Camry had over 150,000 miles on it when I traded it in on the Maxima, and the carpet looked brand new underneath. The mats more than paid for themselves with condition of carpet, and then I sold the mats for $100 bucks on Craigslist.

x3 Great minds think alike....does it have to be see through? If not, buy the weathertechs best purchase you'll ever make.

Never been a fan of the carpeted floor mats from the dealer.
Unless you live someplace that's sunny and dry 365 days out of the year, they eventually get dirt or mud on them.
The WeatherTech floor liners are definitely the way to go. They can be pulled out to be rinsed off or you can even just wipe them off with a damp cloth. When it's time to sell your car, the carpeting underneath will look brand new.
They're expensive, but they're the best thing out there.

Thanks for all the recommendations guys.
I live in north Texas - it's relatively dry most of the year, but winters CAN be bad depending on the year. I'm in my mid 20's, single, no kids lol.
I looked at Weathertech earlier, but the price and the fact that I can't see the Maxima carpet pad underneath put me off, which is why I thought the clear, see-through ones would be better.
Any thoughts on this?

They seem to have gotten good reviews online.

But I'm seeing mixed reviews that some of them don't come fitting well, so they keep sliding around, and that they smell a lot at least initially lol.
ExactMat rings up $175 total for the interior and trunk ones. Not sure if it's worth shelling out the almost $75 extra for the guaranteed one? (ExactMat)
Edit: Saw some more Lloyd's reviews here - http://www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com...tor-Floor-Mats
I think I'll go ahead with it. That $75 can be better put to other things I have to get done on the car like tinting, etc.

They just came in - look fine. Smells though, like new plastic I guess lol read a lot about that in the reviews. I've left it in my garage for now to air out hopefully.
But there's a note attached to it that says never put it on top of another mat and for it to be directly on the car floor. Is this really a big deal? I want to put these on top of the stock black carpet ones that came with the car (that say "Maxima" on them)

When I had exactmats on my acura, I had them directly on top of the factory floormats and never had a problem. try it - check it carefully to make sure your driver's side doesn't move at all - then you should be fine.

As far as I can tell, it's not sliding around under my foot on the drivers side. However, with my flip flops on right now, it's a little slippery as far as the surface that you step on. Is this normal until it's used a little, I assume?

Okay makes sense. Overall, I like these a lot. Save the $100 from exactmats and apply it to something else. These Lloyd's get the job done. I'll post pics later.
