heres something boggling my mind thats probably just a noobie question

have a rear "Stabilizer" bar

so why do people replace this with lets say a Eibach rear sway bar? Isn't it the same thing?

 

sway bars like racingline etc. are more beefy and make the steering much more rigid so you can corner better, etc. People do this in combination with lowering, low profile tires etc and get much better handling out of the car.

 

Stabilizer bar and sway bar are the same thing.

If you are in the engineering world where these are designed, they are shortened to Sta-bar. This was adopted as a sway bar in conversation and aftermarket, as that describes what the purpose is better in lay men's terms.

The original bars are designed with stability, predictability, and comfort having to balance each other. The RacingLine and Stillen bars are 50-200% stiffer than the factory bar. This leads to more over stear and a firmer ride. This is great for people who like performance, but not so great for the average driver.
