Hey guys. I have a 2012 maxima SV and im looking to upgrade my exhaust system.

I recently installed a short air intake from AEM and im loving it. Now i want to do Exhaust system then Strut bars.

I have looked up many reviews for Borla vs stillen vs flowmaster vs magnaflow.

What is gonna give the best HP increase and still have an amazing sound.
If anyone has a link to a sound clip or video for the sound i would appreciate it.
I am willing to spend max of $1000 on it. It has always been my dream to upgrade a car and im taking baby steps at it now.

 

Welcome to the forum!! This topic has been discussed in great detail over the years. My advice would be to use the search function on the forum to find the threads where this has been discussed. Also, there are dozens of sound bite and review videos on YouTube of our 7th gen maxima. Try searching there as well.

As for the strut bar....it's a waste. It's a cosmetic item only which serves no performance upgrade on our cars. Spend your money on something else. Good luck!! Enjoy!

I also checked many other posts for exhaust systems but i cant just make up my mind on any of them.

 

 

 

 

Last but not least is the Megan Racing exhaust. I have this exhaust and I am happy with it. The video makes it sound louder than it is in person but the tone is nice. It's cheaper than most of the other units and it's still a quality cat back. Enjoy!
