Morimoto 4500K or 5500K low beam HID

Any chance members have either of these and can post pics? I seriously can't decide. I'm buying the 35W kit off the TRS site.

The RetroFitSource site also says 4500K puts out the most light. But I'm worried it'll look more like the stock halogens I have now. 5500K would look more like the LED white headlights that the new Lexus's and Audi's have, but the light output isn't as great, and I hear that when the bulbs start going bad, the 5500's will start turning blueish much quicker than the 4500K's. Argh!

An HID light output will look nothing like a halogen. I did the 5000K my self. Your call, if you search you can find pictures of the different light output, 4300K all the way up to 10,000K.

I've seen pics, but different brands look different.

IMO it's splitting hairs when it comes to noticing the light output and the difference between the two is indiscernible to the eye test. So, as you know, if you're looking more toward crisp white then 4,500K and if you'd like that slight hint of blue then 5,500K.

That's the biggest issue when trying to "match" for a preference.

There is a color chart on their site for reference..

4500K is somewhat whiter than halogens. If you want pure white, go with 5500K

I've seen it - my only concern with the 5500's is I've heard for a lot of people, it hurts their eyes if they have to drive for a while using the pure white lights? Also, when the bulbs start going bad, the 5500's will start turning blue-ish much quicker than the 4500's?

Anything color or temperature you get is going to be 10 times better than the stock halogens you have right now. Either way you will be happy with being able to see at night.

I installed TRS 6000K Moromoto low beams, love them.
Also installed TRS 5000K LED fogs, like them as well but the colors don't match
The low beams are noticeable whiter than the fogs.
