Rattling noise

Hey guys, just bough a 2010 Maxima sv with 62k miles on it. Noticed just on start up it rattle a few times then goes away with in seconds. Sounds like it is coming from the driver side front. Any ideas? Thanks

I had a rattle like that and it turned out to be sunglasses in the holder above the mirror.

Lazy lifter, Use Nissan oil filters it will go away, oil filters are not all the same there is a check valve or pressure valve in every one they are all different, You could try to find one (keep trying brands). The noise goes away because when you rev the engine it forces oil in to the valve train which is where the lifters are and it fills the lifter up to its proper height. If it is a lifter it should sound like a tick noise

Thanks, I was a bit worried about a rattling noise and mine seems to have disappeared after a new oil filter

I just had this problem aswel, I had a rattling noise coming from the back right of my vehicle the exact same day I got my rear shocks replaced. I was very rattled with my dealership so I took it in the next day and they told me I had worn our sway bar bushings and that I had ROCKS in my exhaust pipe!! Definitely have them remove it (at their cost, since you just bought it) and they'll remove the rocks (if there are any). Hopefully this helps!

SIDE NOTE: I am new here, and I just read your post more carefully to realize it was drivers side front. Have them check out your front bushings
