a little bog at a stoplight with A/C on.
is it normal for the car to bog down a little every now and then at a stop light when the A/C is on? I have an 09 with 71,000 miles. the dealership 3 month warranty is over in 500 miles. Needing to know in case I need to take it to them! thank you!!

Not sure what you mean? Do you mean the rpm's drop a bit while sitting at the stoplight? How often does this happen? Every time you stop? Could it be the ac compressor turning on?
Give us a bit more details and I am sure someone will be able to point you on the right direction. Personally, I'd say a little rpm drop when the compressor kicks on is normal but if you have a warranty which won't cost you anything I say take it to the dealership.

It's only every once in a while at a stop light and drops from 700 rpm to about 550-600 and shakes the car for less than a second and then back to normal. It doesn't do it every time I stop. It probably is the compressor but doesn't seem like it should make the car shake for half a second. My old Corolla would do that but that's a huge difference in car.

It's from the compressor cycling on. Our Murano does it a little bit more than the Maxima. Kind of cheap feeling for sure. The 2.5L Altima I drove 83k miles never did it, though. I do wish they would idle a little higher, maybe around 800-850 rpm would smooth it out.
