Question Condensation inside panel over instrument cluster

I bought my 2014 Maxima new about a year ago. Yesterday we had a torrential thunder storm complete with hail and waterfall rains. The car was parked through it all.

When I got back in my car I noticed heavy condensation on the inside of the clear plastic which covers the instrument cluster. This morning the condensation was gone but it looks as if there are water marks on the inside of the cover.

I have no clue as to how this happened or if this is a common problem that other owners have had. Also does this require Dealer service to fix?

Any replys would be appreciated.
