Cling Clong noise coming from the rear ( Trunk Hinge ? )

Hi,

Whenever I drive a short steep driveway in a angle ( turning left ) I heard a cling clunk noise coming from the rear right. I assume that the rear end of the car is in torsion and trunk panel move in regards to the body frame. Dealer changed the rear right strut and fixed a loose harness connector for the spoiler light in the trunk.

Any Ideas?

Bought my 2014 Maxima used last year and had the same problem, coming from the right rear. Turned out that the tire jack wasn't secured.

Dealer and I confirm that the trunk panel right hinge is loose and they replaced both but with no luck.

Still investigating.

I found that the noise is coming from the sunroof as describe in TB09-132 even if the sound appears to be coming from the rear as you drive usualy with the face facing ahead

The dealer agreed but now my warranty has ended they will ask Nissan Canada if they can do the repair at no cost.

If you had the complaint and they were investigation before the warranty ended, mother they shouldn't even be asking. They should just be fixing it.

I agree. I just let them do the way they want but if they don't want to repair it under warranty I will complain and argue. I had a big experience with Ford before and I won.

They applied the TB09-132 but with no result ( they almost strip off all the interior %$%$&%$%$ instead of just lowering the headliner as described in the service bulletin).

They estimate the cost of the repair ( change the Rail or entire sunroof ) to $8,000 CDN !!!????

Now I'm waiting for a respond from Nissan Canada. Maybe it's time to get advice from another dealer.
