Exclamation Question for 7th gen owners

Hey guys i currently have a 5th gen SE and shes getting pretty old so im looking for another daily driver. Im checking out this 09 SV, the car is loaded with all the features i wanted, ( panoramic roof, paddles, heated seats and wheel and some other extra gizmos). The car has 133,000k miles on it, and it scares me a bit buying something with that many miles on it, BUT the car fax shows PERFECTLY consistent maintenance/services and repairs, all done by nissan. I drove it and she drove great, but do you guys have any input or warnings about a 7th gen with this much mileage? PLUS im not familiar with the reliability of CVTs. Sorry if i sound too noobish lmao but any input from you guys would help! Maybe the numbers are just messing with my head

It should be fine. Just check the cvt fluid and/or review the service records. Also listen for any whine or noise coming from the cvt after a hard acceleration. Otherwise the car will be fine

Good luck

how many miles on your 5th gen? 133xxx on the 09 is high! I will just say I would not.

Meh, I've got 156k on my 09 and it is still going strong.
Just means there were probably a lot of highway miles, which aren't really hard on a car.
It would really depend on price, but I wouldn't be too afraid.

Things you should have checked, or try and get at least a 30 day warranty on
Motor mounts and suspension bushings
Any electronics acting funny, heated/cooled seats, memory function, auto dimming, lines in head unit screen.
Transmission

Just know a cvt replacement is $3800.

my 5th gen has 201,xxx on it now, which isn't bad, but the previous owner didn't take the best care of it.

Spend a few hundred bucks up front and have the car thoroughly inspected from top to bottom. This could save you a lot of expense in the future. It is just good common sense especially with a high mileage car. Remember you said it scares you buying something with this many miles, well and inspection will make you feel better whether it is a gem or a bunch of problems waiting to happen. At least you will know. Without the inspection it is a crap shoot.

Good Luck

Nope.... By a different class car with lower miles. You would be taking a gamble on the tranny. Dealer maintained doesn't mean that the dealer changed the fluid before 100k. It doesn't mean another mechanic hasn't touched it either.

Personally I wouldnt. I have a 2011 ans I am already on my 3rd cvt transmission and I only just hit 75k this week. Love the car, hate the transmission. Engine is great and the rest is great but I wont own another Until they have a few years of no transmission issues. I believe o9-10 had trans recalls if I am not mistaken.
