Is Nissan trying to rob me?
So last week Nissan told me I needed a switch for my side view mirrors so they went ahead and ordered it. Today I went to install it and they told me it would be an additional $922 because someone changed the door panel and there's no wiring for the switch. Nissan also said it looks like someone changed out my entire interior from leather to cloth they also said I should've had memory seats adjusting side mirrors the whole 9. Is there anyway I can tell for sure what Nissan said is correct and I got screwed from the small dealership I bought my car from last month?

The vin decoder came back with 2012 Nissan Maxima 4dr Sdn V6 CVT 3.5 SV w/Sport Pkg... Doesn't the sport only come with the 19in rims, stiff suspension and spoiler?

I have everything you listed minus the leather interior. Makes me wonder why would the previous owner remove the leather interior???... So I shouldn't have the memory seats and tilting side view mirrors like Nissan said correct?

Nissan said there was no wiring for the side view mirror switch in the door panel meaning someone switched out the door panel. I'm really curious as to what the previous owner did to this car. Nissan said they didn't see any signs of the car being in a accident plus the carfax and autocheck was clean

If your car was trimmed as an SV sport then you should have tilting side view mirrors with turn signals, and the memory seats. If someone removed all the leather and door panels then I would suspect that the wiring for the seats and mirrors is also gone. Do your side mirrors have the turn signal installed? Curious to know what that dealership you bought the car from was selling your car as?

Before getting rid of it the previous owner most likely swapped everything with someone who had a S model trim package. Or perhaps the dealer did it but I doubt that. Either way you are probably screwed. Sucks....

Why are you blaming Nissan? It's the dealer. It's the dealer thats coming at you with higher prices. If it's not the dealer than you should blame the original/previous owner you bought it from.
Also I recall there was a "Special" edition Maxima that did not come with leather. Or maybe the owner removed it cause of the Heat in S Fl.

I hope not! It drives really good and the body is in really good shape. I've already invested a good amount of money in after market mods I'd cry if it broke down lol.

Thas why i dont like those little dealers on the corner...
My guess is either the car had water damage real bad, or the car was vandalized on the inside and they had to replace the interior... either way that really sucks you dont have the options you should..

Yeah it sucks but the good thing is I only have two years to pay on it then I'll go after what I really wanted a 2016 Charger R/T

I'm not blaming Nissan for someone swapping out the seats, I was just wondering if they were lying to me about someone changing the door panel, they were charging me for the door panel and to rewire everything. The fact that someone swapped out the seats is still kinda strange, now I'm really curious about what happened to my car in the past.

Nissan isn't lying too you. Nissan has nothing to do with how you are being treated here... Don't try to blame someone else. The real liars (or people who don't know what they're talking about) is not even the mechanic but the service manager who has sales goals. You're not the original owner so it's not Nissans fault if your car was modded. How many owners has your car had?
