Brake light short

My brake light that is on my dash is shorting out. It comes on when I accelerate and turns off when i let off the gas. On cold mornings the light will just stay on. The dealer said they tested the emergency foot brake switch and its fine. My brake fluid level is good. The deal said the cause is a bad brake fluid level switch. They said it is a $100 part. I want to do the job myself but I'm not 100% sure that I trust their diagnosis. I'd hate to buy the switch and it turns out it is something else.

Has anyone had this short ?

It was very common on the 09s...simply ensure your Brake Fluid is topped off a bit above the max line...It won't hurt anything! Because you say on cold mornings it does it more often I would go ahead and flush the fluid as good brake fluid doesn't contract or expand that much unless there is water in it. To my knowledge no one has reported an issue with a level switch.
