Continental DW Extreme Contacts/Hankook V12 - Tire questions

Anyone running Continental DW Extreme's or Hankook V12's? Would lilke to know how you like them if so.

Also my tire size is the 245/45/18 but if I wanted to decrease the sidewall size how much would I or can I increase the tire width? Basically would 255/40/18 work?

For my last set of tires, I had the DWS's and I loved them. I would have gotten them again except no one around me carried Continental anymore (or the price was outrageous).

Do you remember what you paid roughly per tire?

I've gone through 1.5 sets of the Continental DW. Great tire. Decent tread life. Great performance in dry and wet.

Man, it's been a few years, but I feel like it was in the 700's out the door...but that's a guess for sure.

If you decrease sidewall size, your speedometer will be off. Why would you want to do this?

I have run a set of the Hankook V12 with good performance but a rather short tread life.

Tire Size Comparison
Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
245/45-18 4.3in 13.3in 26.7in 83.8in 756 0.0%
255/40-18 4.0in 13.0in 26.0in 81.8in 775 -2.4%

Better with:

275/40-18
or
225/50-18
or
195/55-18

or even better, stay out of trouble and stick to stock size

Continental DW Extreme here on 18" rims. I've running them for over 2 years. No complaints.
