Looking to Purchase a newer Maxima ?? is what year has less problems

Hello
I am looking to purchase a newer Maxima. What year has the least amount of problems ? ?
I thought about getting a 2010 or newer one. But I saw some posts about bearing replacements on 2009 - 2013 Maxima's. Would anyone purchase a used 2009 - 2013 ? I keep my cars for a long time. Presently have 2000. with 214k.

So I guess 2014 ?? Any major issues with 2014s ?

Thanks

Type into your preferred search engine:

Car complaints on 20xx maxima.

This will bring you to a www.carcomplaintxxxxx.com site

At middle of page you will see a table that state.....View worse years. Click on table and will bring up the years with most problems Hope that helps

I would buy a 2010 or newer. From past experience I never buy the 1st year of a model year change over which was 2009 and actually beyond popular belief if you can buy a 2014 I would because it's model and they finally figured everything out.

I have a 2009 I have had zero issues. Love it and runs Perfect. My friend also has a 2009 with 150k on it. No problems either.
Any year of any car can have issues. It's the luck of the draw.

Not luck of the draw. Depends on where the part was manufactured ( won't call no specific state or country).

I always do my research on car complaint browsers to see what's out there.

Prime example, A specific SUV are commonly know for electrical problems, and would not buy one unless my pocket is very deep.....

Best to do the homework

130k on my 2009 no major issues, just regular maint. stuff for now

although I do need to do a rear wheel bearing which is easy and I am going to do new suspension, the roads here have taken their toll at 130K

Any car u get can have issues. U just never know. And if u buy used. You hope the person previous took care if the car.
You can go on Edmonds forum and see how every car made has some issue
I've owned hondas Before and had friends who owned them also. I never had any issue s with mine nor did they. But I know people who have and would never buy one again.
Where u live IMO is Bs. Research all you want. If you get a lemon you get a lemon and it sucks. I've been there. I had one car bought back along time ago under the Lemon law.

I would hesitate buying a car from NY due to stories heard of switched parts and terrible roads; nor a car from Florida also heard of rollback on the mileage (unless the carfax is available and recent). I question vehicles in high road salted areas due to corrosion etc., and sellers who overspray the undercarriage to mask rust; all factors considered when buying a used car.

I do like to query www.listingallcars.com and do a nationwide search as to what's out there, followed by www.edmunds.com to see car values along with www.nada.com

Thanks for the info.

I am up in CT & rust is big thing. I had to fix my lower radiator support, fuel filler neck and other parts of the car all caused by rust.
