New Tires. Need advice
Hi everyone. I am currently looking to replace my stock Goodyear Eagles on my 2014 Maxima. I am wanting a tire that delivers the smoothest and quietest ride. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

I needed some tires kinda as an experiment.
I've got some M45 18s I wanted to see if I liked on my 4th Gen. I wanted some inexpensive tires just so I could make my decision on the wheels.
I bought a set of Nankang AS-1 in 235/45/18.
I ended up friggin loving them and will seek these tires out for any and all of my vehicles.
As I recall I paid about $83.00 each from Discounttiredirect.com

I'm stuck on three tires and can't make up my mind. Any help would be appreciated. Obviously price points are different.
* Continental DWS
* Michelin Primacy MXM4
* Michelin Premier A/S
My main concern is road noise and comfort. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

The continental DWS are ultra high performance tires so they will have a bit stiffer ride than the other 2 (not as comfortable). The other 2 both get great reviews so I think you'll be happy with either one.

Your best bet is to go to tirerack and read the reviews ans the ratings for the tires. This place is pretty dead these days so you probably wont get much feedback. You can also search this forum for previous threads on tires. There are a lot of them.

And since they changed from Primacy MXV4s to the new Premier are a bit noiser. Granted, they are what I am running and they last over 100,000 miles (in my driving) but they have a lot of road noise compared to the old formula and less tread but longevity seems to be there.

So I ended up getting the Michelin Primacy MXM4's put on my car. I drove it around for about 10 days and wasn't happy with them. They rode stiff and bumps and cracks were jarring. Ride was however quiet on smooth roads. Ended up swapping them out for Michelin Premiers and they ride like butter now. Smooth over bumps and quiet. Pricey but am more than happy with how my Maxima rides now.
