All depends on your level of DIY skills you have. Some have probably done it themselves. You have to drill holes, run the lights, seal the holes, run the wires to a power source, splice the wire and then close everything up all while laying on your back if you don't have a lift. I would personally have the dealership do this job as the job as it will be covered by warranty, and secondly I just don't like working underneath vehicles.

I was thinking of installing them my self (had printed installation manual and everything) But at time when I was purchasing my car dealer agreed to install it for free. Long story short I was happy that they did it -it took technician 6 hours to install it (most of the time I was there watching and actually not that easy to do it properly.
