Is 136k miles high on a 2011? avoid?

Hello,
Having really a hard time finding one with good history and options. This is $8500 out the door (before tax) with 136k miles.

Go for it? Of course after careful test-drive

$8500 is much too high for that mileage and year..$7500 or a bit lower would be ideal for that car.
Mileage is a tricky thing. If it is a one owner, with proof of all the records..It could be decent. Check for paint work, frame damage.. Do NOT rely on the Owner or Dealer showing you a clean Carfax or Autocheck.. I looked at a 2011 Max with leather at 63,000 miles at 10 grand driveout.. Was not the color I wanted.. These car drop fast in value over 100k quick.. Its the Cvt that would scare me.. The rest is easy.. I would keep looking..
If you are close, I would inspect that car for you for free.. These cars are easy to spot paintwork and frame damage..

Get an 09... cheaper, looks the same as the 2014, has the 120k 10year warranty instead of the 60k, so if you get a low mileage one you got a few months left .... plus that year is the best cvt from what I heard. Got mines with 165k with sports package,19inch rims sunroof, paddle shifters, Bose, leather, power, wing.... for 5k.... had it for two years almost, only added some antifreeze recently and did the brakes myself, that’s it, and added a lip kit.... runs like a new car still. Best car I had so far. 177k now.

Forgot that I also had to add Freon myself after last winter passed.... you’re suppose to let the a/c run atleast once a month to cycle the Freon.... learned that after the A/C stopped blowing cold air when it got hot.... 30 dollar fix, and added some tires and changed the battery.... you want her for 5k lol

I keep hearing 8k is too much and when looking for a max at dealerships no decent one is for less than these figures. Plus craigslist is full of scams around me lol.

You could do better for 8500. As stated, 7500 would be the most I'd pay at a dealer, not sure the features on the car, but a base model SV is on Edmunds.com showing below $6000 for a private party sale. Don't be fooled by people trying to get what they think the car is worth to them, get it for what it is worth to you. Note too, if it needs work, Transmission fluid swap, new plugs, radiator flush, brake fluid flush, new brake pads, new tires...it's a money pit. You'll spend $3000 on everything I just listed.

Don't forget, new hoses, belt, may need a new battery...just saying, look newer, lesser miles, maybe even with a little warrantee is my advice. You'll pay more for a younger car, but at least you'll not be putting $3-$4000 into it just getting all the maintenance done on it.

Not high at all, the motor will outlast the car. Peripheral accessories like starter, alternator, coils, etc. are all going to die some point in time. But the motor if you do your routine maintenance, it'll last and last.

In September I bought a 2009 with 72k miles for $8500. You could definitely get a better deal.

Check out cars.com in your area. You should be able to find several Maximas for a price you want to pay. I have a 2010 SV with 145k miles, I checked KBB and my car is valued anywhere from $6,700 to $9,300 private party sale. I know I wouldn't get anywhere near that amount if I were to sell it.
