Took my 09 Max to get alternator replaced
Took my car to get alternator replaced but when I got it back the service engine light was on and went to get it checked and this is what came up
not only that but when I go over 50mph I hear something under the car kind of sounds like a bag is caught under there. I checked and saw nothing but noticed some kind of smell not sure if it’s the new alternator.. not sure what to do

well a few things come to mind...
1.) Re the "flapping sounds" over 50mph. Check to make sure the fender or wheel well "splash shields" are secure...specially where they mount to the front bumper on the passenger side.. They actually extend out from the wheel well and are secured all the way to the front bumper. Just to the right of the undercarriage splash shield. If not secured...they will flap and rip themselves off. Also, there is a separate cover that covers the oil filter/pulleys and is meant to help stop contamination from reaching under the hood. It has a strap that you have to remove to change the oil. When I had my alternator replaced, somehow, this went missing (although it may have flown off from not being re secured after the alternator replacement.)
2.) Regarding the MAP code. I would reset the event first and see if it comes back. After all, you just had your electrical system "reborn" If it does return, then take a closer look.
3.) The smell: As you say, it could be nothing more than the new component "burning in" or it may be the result of the splash shields rubbing.
