Can a Maxima 2010 CVT work on a Murano 2010 (not AWD)?
Hello, brother in law Murano 2010 S (not AWD) went south at 166k miles. He found a CVT from a junk yard for a Maxima 2010 with 31k miles on it (Carfax showed severe bank-end damage from the VIN of the Maxima, so it was working at the time of impact). Should he proceed knowing it may serve him? are there any big differences between the 2 CVTs? he is fine with some minor modifications if needed (clips, mounts, harnesses from his old CVT). He will drop it in a friend's garage if it is a go.
Sorry if it is a stupid question but he needs his car back on the road soon.
Thanks
