And for leaks. CVT fluid doesn't evaporate under normal use! If the car has never had a drain and fill with filter change, now it the time to do it.

Since you just bought it, I would recommend changing the fluid. Nissan says it should last up to 75k miles, (I believe), I change mine every 50k miles and I've had no issues at all. On my third change at 150k miles I changed the CVT filter as well, (pn#31726-1XE0A). You can get the right CVT fluid either from the dealer or if you want to save a few dollars buy it off eBay. Also, I would recommend you change the cabin filter as well, look at a video to see how to remove it, at 80k miles it will be very dirty.

Make sure you drain and refill, not flush it.....also get the original fluid, not some knock off to save ten dollars when the tranny cost more to fix....I seen people due that to save $$ lol and wonder why they have to pay 3k after. Most important....stop beating on it....its not a race car even if it says 4DSC lol.
