Fuel gauge problem

Has anyone else had issue with fuel gauge going past F when goingto fill up at gas station and suddenly dropping to Less than half after a few commutes . And once it goes to empty you go fill up and tank was really above half and not empty like gauge read.

I'd get some really good fuel injector cleaner and especially one good for cleaning fuel senders before doing any hardware.

I used BG-44K a few years ago on a 5th gen max and it did a good job, however i didn't have the fuel gauge problem you do so I don't know if it will fix that. Better auto stores might carry it, I got mine of Amazon, and it's still available although expensive around $28.

I would also hit it with Techron complete fuel cleaner back to back with the BG44k. Stubborn issues may require more than one attempt. Ask my 280z and its fuel injectors.

I think you will need a new fuel pump assy. Our sending unit, float, fuel filter and pump are all one unit, but best of luck with the producta.
