No-Screw Front Plate Mount Suggestions?

New to the forums, pretty new to cars in general. I bought this new to me 2012 SV Crimson Black Maxima & the previous owner was from Florida so they didn't have a front plate. I'm in New York so that won't fly here. I don't want to drill into the bumper so does anyone have suggestions on how to hang it? Also looking for opinions on placement (how low/high, off to one side, etc) for a good look or what has worked for you.

I've been searching the boards and getting some serious envy from some of your rides...although I know most of you have probably moved on to bigger and better things by now.
Would love any suggestions for some aesthetic mods for this color. Thinking about blacking out parts of the grill & getting rid of some of the chrome...not sure yet but let me know. Glad to be part of the family Drop pictures of your max!

That still requires screwing into the bumper no? Or do you screw into the underside of the bumper?

I guess I don't understand why you're unable or unwilling to drill into the bumper. If you had bought the car from an owner in a state that req'd a front plate, would you be replacing the bumper and cover with a pristine undrilled one? The factory (or dealer) did on most Maximas...why won't you? But alas, that's not the point, is it?

Here's another suggestion that would work well with no drilling...ever used this stuff? It's the bomb....

Since no one else seems to have an idea what you're trying for or just doesn't want to help you here's one.

I've also seen others that are motorized like this.

Be careful with mounting it that low... check your state for regulations. Most states have minimum license plate height requirements. Perhaps the same motorized mount can be used on the top portion of the lower grill.

If your bumper paint is in superior condition threaded stud suction cups work well ...

These may be a little large (3”), but smaller dia. units can be had.

I suppose you can use a zip tie on the plate and loop it around the grille. I agree with Captive8 btw, if it's a plate that you have to have up front by law, drill the holes n screw it in. It's just a stupid bumper.

That's what I have on mine, looks great and is a solid mount. It's screwed into the bumper then the plate is screwed to the mount. It's been there for 10 years and never gave it a thought about holes in the bumper, can't see the holes so don't give it a thought.

i bought my max in nj with front plate holes, and in pa front plates r not required, when i was doing other body work on the front end I had them filled and covered up =) but i probably would not have gone out of my way to fill them had I not been doing other work there to begin with.
