Car just hiccups sometimes going down the road?

hello all, and thanks for your help.. I've got a 14 maxima sv w/ the 3.5 that when going down the road it "hiccups" or stumbles hard but just for a split second then acts fine for ?? Some days it happens once sometimes not at all then others 3 or 4 times but nothing consistent about it.. I've pulled codes from cel and p0014 anx p0024 but its always had these codes and cel has been on since bought car... it has 150k on it now and runs strong as hell I think and still does but this stumble is really aggravating... any ideas would be great... thanks and I'll update soon...

Problem is those codes, How long have you had the car? Codes can be triggered and not cause any problems early on, but end up slowly or suddenly becoming a problem in the long run. CEL on means something's wrong, rather the car is running fine or not, either way it's telling you something is wrong. You seem to of delayed long enough from addressing the problem, now it's time to fix it.

These are the causes and fixes for your CEL codes.

Hello and thanks for responding, ive had the car for around a year now and i bought it with a bad trans which i replaced with one from junkyard and been happy with it even tho i never could get cel to go away... I've replaced camshaft position sensors, and took out the variable timing solenoids and tried cleaning them, which i thought helped but it again threw up the p0014 code and this time it also throwed up a crankshaft position sensor code... i was on my way back from around 100 mile trip when it threw up code, and been fine since but I'm sure it'll happen again... i been debating about just changing crankshaft sensor and maybe even timing belts since it has 150k on it... that with a good flushing of oil system again... any thoughts?? Surely someone has ran into this before...
thanks

Enough have that Nissan issued a service bulletin NTB12-116a for both codes you listed.

Thanks for the info !! And ive ordered the kits to replace the vtc retarder.. now my question is this, being its got 150k on it should i go ahead and replace timing chain as well or leave it alone?? Car runs strong and doesn't sound bad or anything but it is my daughters car so i want it to be done right and don't wanna have to mess with it again ... hopefully.. so is the timing chain a common issue with these 3 5's ??
Thanks for the help

i haven't heard of timing chain issues with this gen. I have 440,000 miles on mine so far with no issue.

No worries on the timing chain, those should last the life of the car.

And is their anyway to test them to be for sure?? Any help is greatly appreciated....
