Driver side lock switch not working. Any tips on how anybody went about repairing this? My key won’t unlock from outside. Been climbing over my seats looking like an idiot.

 

Could be one of the locking pins fell out. You can take off the door panel and check.

Pop off the black backing plate behind the door handle with a flathead & take out the screw there (10mm).

Pop off the woodgrain (or w.e color it is on yours) trim on the handle by the window controls.

Take out the screw at the top and there should be one of those bumper clips at the bottom (pop the inner circle with a flathead, then pop the clip out).

Use a panel popper to take out that window control/window lock/door lock/unlock panel.

There should be one more screw in a metal plate to take out under the controls.

Now you can pop off the door panel, start from the bottom with the panel popper and work your way around. It's maybe 10 clips all around, just kinda force it and you'll get them out.

Take out that black plastic piece by the window corner (near the side mirror) then lift up the door panel to remove it.

You should see where the lock is, I think it's 2 pins that you can just slide back into place, one for the key and one for the electrical unlock. Or maybe one for unlock, one for opening, don't remember. Make sure nothing gets unplugged. Good luck, hope that solves it
