Rpm’s not normal

Hey there, I wanted to see if anyone had this issue, I own a 2011 Maxima and currently it started to act different where suddenly the car revs higher, like when you usually take off the rpms goes down and the car speeds up natural, but mine it raises the rpm up to 1800 and more to get it fast. I fixed all of the intake leaks and it got a little better but still the same thing is happening, except for pcv valve haven’t checked it yet, and on highway when speed is around 70-80 mph the rpm doesnt hold on its load but still get it up to 2500 or 2600 if i wanted to just increase the speed a little. Please give me any feedbacks. CVT transmission fluid was already changed. No check engine light

You change the CVT filter as well?

unfortunately the filter is not available in the dealership’s spare parts at all not even nearby countries, but thou I cleaned it very well and it was so bad the CVT is good. I asked some people some said pcv is gone bad, some said the CVT is gone but though i had a vacuum leak and i fixed it and it got improved a tiny bit

Well, replace your PCV valve. Make sure the rubber hose is not rotten as well.

As for the filter, I would just order it, and when it arrives, install it. https://www.courtesyparts.com/oem-pa...Y2LWdhcw%3D%3D

Also, make sure you have the correct amount of fluid in the CVT.

If that does not rectify it, then I would check you VVT solenoids. They may be gummed up with crap.

If that does not work, then I would take it to a shop to put it on a smoke machine to properly test for vacuum leaks.

You have me very curious now. How were you able to clean the filter?

Throttle body!!

Never manually open the throttle body to clean it etc

if you did, you will need a new one, plus the dealer to program it

well did you?
