[Help] Coolant gauge stuck at C, does not change

Hi all.

I have a 2014 Maxima and my coolant gauge is always stuck at C. Whether it's a cold start or I've driven it for a couple of hours straight it's only stuck on this position. Is this normal? If not, what can I do to fix it? Thanks!

edit: to add, I bought this used a couple years ago and it's been like that since I bought it. The fans do turn on when the engine gets hotter.

Driving our cars for a few minutes will raise coolant temperature. My guess is a faulty coolant temperature sensor. Should be cheap and easy swap out with a new one.
