HELP with diag
I live up north its been like -5 the past 5-6 days Saturday car worked, Monday tried to start my car (2011 nissan maxima sv) and it would crank but not turn over. I then tried to jump start the car and that didn't work. The cars lights don't dim at all so i didn't think its the alternator. i hooked up a OBD2 scanner and there are NO codes.
last night i sprayed started fluid in the air intake and it started for 5 seconds or so but it was a very hard start almost like the engine was knocking. Then died. This morning i went out to the car and there was a ticking noise coming from fuse box of the car. Cant tell if/ where in the box its at or if its a relay.
Is it the starter? Clocked injectors? Fuel pressure?
One guy told me its just so cold thats the reason and my car could be flooded a little.

The ticking noise from your fuse box probably means that your battery is weak or dead. I would try a fully charged battery. If your battery is more than 5 years old I would consider getting a new one.
If the battery and charging system is fine than I would consider that maybe the starter has an issue. How many miles on the vehicle?

Starter fluid worked for 5 seconds means fuel issue. Could be pump, fuel inj, blown fuse, ice on the line (if very cold and bad gas.)
Charge yourbattery and tben check your fuel system is where I would focus.
