I called my local shop today to have my 2012 Maxima SV CVT transmission serviced. The car has about 150K on it, and the transmission is giving no problems. Bought the car used and want to keep everything serviced. The shop told me my transmission is not made to be serviced and that nothing can be done to it. Is this correct? I thought the fluid and filter could be changed on a 2012 CVT transmission. Thanks for any and all input.

Really simple job, drain, change out filter, and refill.

 

X 2 + $100 or less in 30 minutes.
