2012 Max

https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/7556709300.html

My 2001 Infiniti I30 finally crapped out...transmission is shot, and I chose to junk it out rather than replace the tranny. Not familiar with the 7th gen, but in the market for a daily driver. Do you guys have any advice regarding those Max? Is the CVT trans something I should stay away from? What other advice do you have regarding a used Max from this generation.

Thanks in advance

I had the same doubs. If previous owner was replacing tansmission fluid in right (or shorter) intervals you no need to worry.
In my opinion this tranny is working very smooth and fast. I can compare it only with MB 11's gear tranny.
Max is petty decent and reliable car with good fuel effiency. I reached once 8.4 l/100km on highway when with 4 persons onboard.

I got almost 180,000 miles on my car and have no issues with it or the CVT. Very strict with maintenance on her, oil and filter change every 6,000 miles. CVT fluid and filter change every 30,000 miles.
