Nano-technology paint

I picked up a full brochure on the maxima , not the tiny one. I noticed in the color section that maxima colors coulis red and forged bronze feature a new nano-pigment technology where the paint pigments are ground 10 times finer than those found in traditional paints. It says the resulting finish is stunning with an exceptional deep, wet lustrous look ! I might have to check into this red color ! Norm

Sounds pretty cool but IMO they ruined the max forever.

The 2002 Maxima (gen 5.5) began the move upscale. He needs to have MONTE fill him in on the third millenium Maxima, and where it now sits on the Nissan product line.

I have owned AND LOVED every generation Maxima beginning with the 2nd gen, and I can assure 14GmMax that the 8th gen Maxima is vastly superior to those early Maximas in almost every way. The primary differences include improved power, acceleration, handling, MPG, comfort, safety features, convenience features and braking.

Although there have been instances where Nissan has turned out products (including some Maximas) with paint that did not always measure up to expected standards, the reality is that Nissan is working harder than many manufacturers to make better paints. They have worked very hard in recent years to develop a paint that tends to shed dirt, keeping the car cleaner longer.

I will be noticing these red and bronze Maximas.

I figured as much but to say they ruined the car is insanity in my mind but theng again, I am very pragmatic with my way of thinking...

I would use Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Wax on it about once a month.

No doubt.
I'm a CB owner so it's all about my DA w/cutting pad and Meguiar's compound just to get to the wax-on/wax-off stage.
