Has anyone here driven both. Can you please give your opinion?

I was all for the Platinum but the SL the more I look at is a discounted platinum that takes off some features I won't use. However I have to get myself to the dealer to take a look at the different trims.

Talking Drove both SR and Platinum

I recently drove both of them and honestly it is a win win whatever route you go. The SR looks MEAN with those 19 inch wheels and idk if it's just me but i feel like i can feel a difference in the stiffer suspension. Just like I have felt in my 7th gen sport vs. my buddies basic 7th gen. HOWEVER, the platinum has features that the SR doesn't have, and even features that the SR doesn't have, that my 7th Gen Sport did. For example the SR does not have automatic steering wheel and memory seats... WTF nissan. and in the platinum you get rain sensing wipers, dual pano roof, rear sunshade, etc. BUT it drives just as fast and powerful as the SR. Just not as engaging and road feel.

i only test drove a couple of SRs and i can tell you that the ride is pretty stiff, though compliant. i can imagine that the Platinum will have more of a supple ride befitting its luxury leanings. it all depends on what you are looking for. i think the panoramic moonroof looks great on the Platinum, but i personally cared more for body rigidity and could do without it. i wanted a balance between performance and practicality, and for me the SR fit the bill, which is why i bought one.

The SR are way to expensive in Canada. Nobody in their right mind minus a Maxima lover would buy it.

I have never understood why Maximas cost so much more in Canada. That seems so unfair to the folks up there. As much as I love Maximas, I would need to be well-heeled and still think twice to pay what is being charged up there.

Did you test drive the platinum? I'm going to test drive both hopefully. What color combo did you decide on?
