Front emblem mod

I subdued the front emblem due to it's size and chrome - 3 coats plasti dip black, 2 coats charcoal metallic, then trimmed and peeled the Nissan letters away leaving the underlying black, then 2 coats clear. Came out fine except slightly rough lines on letters from peeling when up close. In future would consider pouring thinned black into letters after gray coat.

Not feeling it, but as long as you like it, that's what counts!

the emblems lettering is always a tough spot to master, best way I've found to do is is with a BRAND NEW roll of painters tape, put it over the letters and press it in firm. apply light heat and continue to press in firm. then use an exacto knife to cut around the edges and repress and reheat the paint, you'll probably have to do this several times, each time doing only a couple letters and not attempting to do the ones next to each other at the same time. when you've gotten all of them done...

time to paint, after paint and clear is fully cured for at least 24 hours, use the smallest pair of tweezers in existence to remove the tape.

anyways. .. looks good to me, i hope you like it
