Fit & Finish Issues

Picked up a Silver SV in Atlanta Area (not many 2016's on the road) and after a few days driving the drivers window controls panel pops us whenever the door flexes or rear windows are rolled up. I took to service and they are ordering a new panel saying the clips aren't good.

Anyone else have fit & finish issues I should look for before going back to the dealer.

I had the same issues with the rear window panel on the drivers side. I messed around with it a little and was able to get it to stay down....... For Now!

Pretty disappointing.

If you don't want to deal with quirky little issues of a new model, don't buy a brand new model. There are going to be things here and there with any new model and they will get ironed out.

I had the same issue happen on the front passenger side door and on top of that some of the stitching come out too I was so disappointed but luckily I took it to my near by Nissan service department and they ordered me a new door panel which fixed everything all at once. The door panel took about a week to arrive and it only took them a couple hours to install.

Good point. My dealer said they evaluate every car they receive before selling. Same with my 2016 Max SL. Before I drove out of their lot, I checked moonroofs, mirrors, engine noise, tires, interior, exterior, lights, spare... So far everything's ok.. But then again, only have 300miles on it...

I think it's an issue of not enough tension on the molded plastic clips that hold the part in the door panel. They're just a bit too flexible to hold tightly.

Not a major deal by any means. Normal new model car stuff. My dealer is taking care of it.

I finally got the new parts installed. Service manager never called and told me parts were in so I probably could have had it done sooner.

I most likely will be going to a different dealer for service from now on.
