Anyone do their own oil changes?
My wife's 2016 Maxima's oil indicator went off at 3750 so I went out and got the supplies. Looked in the manual and saw I needed to move/remove a few panels and thought that should be simple enough.
First impressions;
Those pins are going to be a PIA, different sizes and doubt they will last long. Hope they sell them on Amazon.
The oil drain flap doesn't come off so it just hangs in the way.
If you are on a lift no problem but I was just using stands and couldn't flip it all the way back without hitting the ground.
The oil filter is also blocked by a flap, not a big deal.
Good lord I hate to see such tiny filters Anyone ever use a larger filter.
The placement stinks, it's guaranteed to drip all over the frame before you get it off.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the car, I just hate when silly things get in the way of simple tasks.
With such short intervals I may be going to the dealer to get these done.

When I bought my 7th gen used I got 6 free oil changes and inspections every 5000 miles from the dealer. If I buy a new 8th gen there maintenance will be free again. You should of got something from the dealership for your new buy, called goodwill. I'm surprised you are doing it yourself.
