Has anyone changed their yellow high beam lights to LEDs by chance? Just womdering how it worked.

 

Typically LED's dont throw light all that far or focused like Halogen making it pretty much useless for high beams.

 

I beg to differ. My Acura TLX has all-LED's, and if I hit the high beams it will bubble the asphalt for a hundred yards.

LED's have plenty of throw, and can be as focused as the lens and housing they're in.

The difference is that your TLX headlights are specifically designed for those high watt LEDs with projector lenses and all. They are not some poorly designed bulbs dropped into halogen reflectors.

Yeah.... but I meant as stated above. Can't just throw in some LED Bulbs and expect great output. OEM LED's are a completely different story.
