@MLS277: I only leased the car, MSRP was $41,450 apprx. $440+9% tax for 36 months with $4,500 upfront money to pay for DMV fees, down payment and other fees. Just so soo , not much of a bargain

@ mike, I installed it for looks but hoping for some functionality though. Its not a big spoiler but its got a significant angled plane though, with that plus the sport premium spoiler on the trunk that should add some significant down force at high speed to improve traction a little bit.

What dealer did you use in LA? Do you also use them for service?
How easy was it to install the roof spoiler? It looks great!

The roof spoiler was easy to install, I scribe a cut in the middle of the spoiler to remove half of the 3M tapes, I applied some glue close to the perimeter edge of the spoiler, I asked someone to hold the other end of the spoiler up high while I started sticking the other end. I started 1/16" off the edge and aligned the top of spoiler to the top edge of the glass, slowly working inch by inch towards the other side. I pulled off the remaining half of the 3M tape when i got closer to it. It was easy as long you have another person who can hold the other end for you.

OK looks like you have the most miles now on one,has performance increased, milage top speed, things like that?

My best mileage on a trip: 35.5 miles
per gallon
My up to date average mpg: 23.3 mpg
Top speed: tried 110-115 mph on short stretches, felt like riding a jet, smooth and quiet.
Brakes: ample stopping power but could use bigger brakes with better stopping power
Engine: can't complain, for me, power is just right for my needs. I get good grunt and pull whenever I step on the gas pedal aggressively
Transmission: CVT is okey for me for my daily work and recreational needs but i felt i could use a better tranny for friendly sporty competition driving. I think the top speed of the car would increase also if they used a conventional auto or steptronic transmission. From my observation the CVT's behaviour couldn't push the engines capabilities to its maximum performance. I think this cars engine Is capable of pushing this car top speed to over 155 mph.
Sunroof: i think nissan could have designed the front deflector better to reduce wind noise at fast speeds.
Clearcoat: very sensitive easily get scratched even with soft cloths

I have over 7,000 miles now, just added about 1,000 miles last week on a recent trip to San Francisco.

beautiful car but what was the purpose of attaching the GT-R emblem? did you change something under the hood? Im not being a internet troll but just wondering because you got the platnum, not the SR and all gen 8 models have the same Horse Power.

The car looks very sporty, GTR implies racing, i just thought it makes the car look more like a sporty racer haha!

With a good OBDII tool, you can make the top speed limit go away. My thought is that they are doing this to stay within the speed rated limits of the tires. My 2010 Maxima not no limiter and 290 HP was all in at 132 mph so I wonder if there is all that much more speed with the 2016..maybe with the newer CVT and a lower drag co efficient?

I dont think it is for the tire speed rateing, sense all tires on 2015 maxs are at least v rated for 149 and the SR has w rated tires for 168 mph which we know it will never hit,i may be possible to hit 150 with a programer that allows certain points to be selected for change, such as torque, speed limit, rpm limit, and shift points, but i dought anyone wil have that out anytime soon, this car is such a joy to drive anyways i can wait, and mine has already gone 134 on my gps so it is not slow by any means, and now i am getting 30 plus milage, just unbelieable, such a sweet car.

Well put on the driving experience. Compared to my old 2010, there is a lot less "motor boating" on fast tales offs for the 2016. The only things I miss from my 2010 Tech were the rear seat radio and heat controls,(Gone in the 2011s) the driver's ceiling handle, and the paddle shifters. I also feel there is better sound control on the new ones. That said I may add some fat mat to the rear floors under the seat and trunk.
