I also feel there is better sound control on the new ones. That said I may add some fat mat to the rear floors under the seat and trunk.
You can reduce "motor boating" if you switch to sport mode

Yes. Just push the start button without putting your foot on the brake. That turns on the accessories.

Is this a good buy?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Painted-Blac...tRy0RP&vxp=mtr

It's a bit chilly here in NY, is it a good time to install it?

It's cheaper than the one I got from Shadowspeed which cost me $55, it looks a little bit different than the one I got but similar, the one I bought was a little bit wider. If you install it indoor I think it should be ok, just wipe the glass surface clean and dry before installing. Follow manufacturers installation instructions.

I love the creativity! I opted for the factory diffuser and did get it for 220 bucks. Even at that price, I wonder if it was worth it. I like your approach but I would suggest the "teeth" are a little too prominent. Are the final teeth going to be chromed or painted?
Thanks for the post!

My brother didn't even noticed it, he thought it was part of the original car. I am thinking of painting the fins and diffuser black to match.

I think the diffuser chrome crossbar looks better with chrome.

We appreciate your report. Much of what goes right with these cars is not often heard.

Looks really good! I have never been a fan of black cars until this Maxima. One pulled up next to me in the parking lot last week and I waited until they got out to take a good look at it. I don't know what the naysayers are looking at but this is a beautiful car! It's stunning in person. I'm still leaning toward the Pearl White Platinum next year though. Hopefully more of the kinks come out. Congratulations on the ride!
