They got the generation wrong but gave it a good review - take a look here:

'good review'? Nissan could not have heaped more praise on this 2016 Maxima. Had I not read reviews of other cars by the duo that wrote this one, and seen where they can actually criticize with the best, I would have said they were on Nissan's payroll. But the reality is that their experience with this new Maxima closely parallels mine, in that it has impressed me in every possible way. Every time my wife and I get in this car, we know we are going to enjoy the trip, whether one mile or 100 miles. A real dream car.

Clearly not motorheads, but I do feel their opinion mirrors what most normal people would have about the car.

Nice language there- I got that feeling when I test drove the SL. Very nice car to drive.

NewReligion Here. I bought a 2016 Platinum in Deep Blue Pearl and charc/black interior the last week of October 2015. It had 311 miles on it. At mile 1,742 I noticed a mild "stammer" more than hesitation. Really bothered me. This continued again several times. The Maxi is scheduled to have the "O" ring replaced Friday as they hope it will resolve the stammering that is intermittent stating that it may be sucking air...I love this car but I will not lay down and take a **** kicking over a $42,443.00 auto. Hope they get this corrected and soon as I expect immediate results but get the feeling they are just finding their way through this.

Anyone else experiencing this? Seems to not be so bad on a full tank of 93 octane...but now I wonder is it the CVT...This is my 4th Maxi in a row. This feels like a fuel starve issue. Please speak up.

Thank you. New Religion/David

Oops-double post

I have an 8th gen 2016 Maxima Platinum that is going in Friday for the "O" ring recall. MY ISSUE...the damn car stammers sometimes when accelerating...I did not pay $42,443.00 for this issue to plague me. I was told they "hope" replacing the ring will resolve the issue. Anyone else experiencing this anomaly? What is more I get the feeling that Nissan and vendors are flying blind here with the statement...we will start with the "O" ring.

Respectfully, New Religion/David
