Aim HID after install

Hey all! I'm back as a Max owner! Had a 00 and an 02 Max..then trucks since! Recently just traded my 15 Mazda 6 Touring in for the 16 Max SV, deep blue pearl! Love er!
Anywho... had a set of 55w H11 after market HID thru Kensun in my Mazda, that I took out and put into the Maxima.. (had 6000k in the mazda, and "upgraded" to 8000k bulbs just before I traded in) so I simply installed in the maxima...
When I did.. everything looked and felt like it seated right.. the bulbs fit perfectly into the projection housing..not crooked..
However, my beams of light seem to be all over the place! Passenger side likes to point high and light up road signs and drivers mirrors in the lane to the right of me, but the driver side is doing not much more than aiming 3 feet in front of the car at the aspalt!
Anyone have this issue simply swapping bulbs? They plugged and played nicely in the Mazda, and had a nice even cutoff line mid trunk of a car in front of me.. these seem to have a major bright (hot) spot.. and poorly aimed.. is this just a glitch from Nissan? Should I simply re-aim the projectors? Or do you guys feel it might be the bulbs them selves?
Thanks fellas! Good to be back! I missed this V6 power!

I'm looking for HID's too and was wondering how you like the ones you got? How much should a good pair typically cost?

Upgraded to 8000K? 6000K puts out more lumens than 8000K. You downgraded.

Anyway.. Pics would help. Park 25ft from a wall clear of obstruction and snap a pic. Post here.

Haha! That's why I quotationed "upgrade" .. I do like the blueish look.. and being the 55w ballasts.. they're more white like a 6oook.. with a blue edge.. so not all that bad. Nice looking really. I'll try and get near a wall after work tomorrow in our hanger. And maybe do a before and after adjustment.. I also may take the 6oook bulbs and install them to see if any difference.
I'm ordered the Kenoun 55w slim ballast kit from amazon.. it was $60.. I think they're way better than the 35w xentec system I had in my older Acura.. well worth the littke bit of money to me.. it's just these second set of bulbs I ordered so far.. and just not sure if it's crappy alignment out of the Nissan factory, or crapp bulbs with a crap beam pattern

Let's try this again... since my phone decided to delete the whole.last post with pics haha
I tried aiming the 8000k bulbs/beams.. but still didn't like the beam pattern.. it was all over..even tried swapping sides.. noticed that the bulbs were labeled 35w (my ballasts and previous 6000k bulbs are 55w) I then replaced with my previous 6000k again and realigned... and they are much nicer as far as beam pattern so stayed with them for now.. not sure if the combo of 55w ballasts and 35w 8000k bulbs was part of the problem.. but I couldnt take it..
Here are some pics.. the lighter day pic is of the 8000k pattern before attempting to adjust alignment. . The night is of the 6000k reinstalled and re-aligned ..
They look more white-ish-blue in the pic (like they did when new) however, the reason I tried replacing them with the 8000k was because I felt they were getting dim and un-inspiring...

Kensun 8000k beam pattern. Factory alignment (unadjusted)

6000k reinstalled and re-aligned

There's a square hole on top of headlight. You can see silver teeth down inside that hole.. a medium to long Phillips screw driver turns those teeth.. just park about 10 feet from a flat wall and turn each way to determine up and down.. back
Up to 25 feet and make sure they're not too high to blind people in opposite direction

That's good to know, but it seems like the sockets that the hids now sit in are like my stock scokets my stock bulbs are in,cause my stockers do that same thing. When on low beam only,my windshield on low beam appears to have a dark shade that has been drawn half way down, and when you are on uneven surface such as going down a hill, you cant see anything. Funny you mention the Kensun kits, because amazon has a lot of his kits, cheap, and all the reviews I read were giving his kits a 5 and 5 was the best, along with a 2 year warrenty and for 50-60 bucks, wow that is cheap price to,but I guess there products are not made cheap,i was interested in the h4 9003 xenon/hi beam in halogen 6000k color, but it said they did not fit the max 16,so a guy on here said try the H11 but it has 55W and it was to much wattage, but if you are running that much wattage and you had no problem, than maybe the H11 kit on amazon will work great.

Bulb seating on the driver side was way off in that first pic. Looks corrected in the second but you really need to be further back from the wall to tell.

Also try to click on directly on the light when taking the pic to focus on the beam so that it's clear.

The best light pics I see,are from the drivers seat, when it illuminates the road in front of you,i guess have a person in passenger side snap pic while driving fairly steady.

Is this accessible from just popping the hood and peaking around near the battery/windshield washer fluid area near each respective headlight? I don't see anything? Can anyone chime in

If you guys looking for cheap quality HID, y’all should really check out DDMTUNING.com. I had on my accord and Pathfinder for more than 4 years without any issue.
