very interesting. I am surprised there has been no response to this post. I suspect that will change by tonight.

I would very much be interested in this mod... especially if there is an option to change the DRLs from the 4300k to about the 5000k - 6000k range!

@stibluzoo11: Looks amazing, can't wait for the kits to roll out. I was just emailing with the guys over at Diode and they confirmed it all should be out within a month.

Do you get moisture in your fog light housing from the switch to LED's?

I had ordered LED license plate and backup lights. They are supposed to arrive tomorrow. Does anyone know off-hand the bulb sizes for the insides of the doors and the foot wells? I would think they would be the same as the license plate lights, a 194 bulb.

16 Maxima SR Switchback DRL Preview

I went with:
Philips 194 Vision 6000k bulb

They fit and match map lights perfect and light up very well over stock bulbs.

They were 7 bucks for the pair x2 here on post. But I'm sure you can pick up at local auto parts store.

So ... I'm not familiar with the term "switchback DRL". Or is that their product name?

And they're yellow, I gather.

The LED running light switches back to Amber when the turn signal is engaged or the hazards are on.

Can someone point an arrow to just the DRL please,i was of the unstanding they were the one that look like an arrow up top of the head lights, and were the ones that came on when you remote start the car,if them are not the ones, than there must be another bulb in the cavity where the low beam and high beams are!

Looks great! I have put switchbacks on my last few cars and love the look. Will be hitting up DD when I get my car. Also you convinced me to get white this time around - the blacked out grill looks awesome.

Thank you! I've always purchased black cars in the past. I felt like white was my alter ego and the only other color I could live with. I'm very happy with the color when clean and in daylight. The Pearl is beautiful and is very pleasing to look at. I really liked the white and black contrast colors on vehicles. I get to try my own approach this time. I see black 20's in the future, but I want to slam this car before wheels.
The 16 maxima SR is the nicest car I have owned and I couldn't be more pleased with the decision to buy it. I can afford it and it's extremely nice. You only live once, buy a nice car it helps the time pass.

I got the diode dynamics lights in the mail yesterday for the door and rear lights as well as the license plate. I'll try to install them this weekend sometime and take pics!

Just installed these. Managed to test them but won't really see what they look like until night time.

Doors were easy. Trunk was a pain in the ***. The plastic screws are actually not too bad because the center cap pops out making them easy to twist out. But the trunk latch didn't want to come out and one of the pins on it broke. It's still held in place but gets loose if you pull on the cord.
