if you're going for leds or a cob design, make sure the length is around 1"
or close to it. not the usual 1.41" long. correct me if I'm wrong on this one.

Congrats on the new ride! Welcome to the forum! There are several threads on the license plate LEDs. I personally would recommend the JDMs or VLEDs.

Congrats!

I used these and they worked out very well. So much cleaner of a look, and also much brighter:

Any issues? Do you need any transistors?

No, plug and play no issues at all and no need for anything else. As for the brake lights, turn signals etc, I haven't done those yet, I'm strictly speaking about the license plate LEDs.

Such a beautiful color and car! Congrats on the ride! I was going to recommend what @solariis mentioned because a friend of mine got those and had no issues. Should work great for you.

Found these locally at Pep Boys and did a quick smartphone search in store, they were the last set, so I figured I'd try them out.
They work great. Just another option for you all.

What did you pay for them?

Thanks. Are they a lot brighter than the stock bulbs?

TBD. I just put them in last night but did not drive the car after. I'll get a better determination tonight. They certainly are nicer looking with a 6K color temp.
My rear window is tinted with 5%, so my definition of brighter may not be the same as yours.

Poking around on the Philips site, I saw they make an H16 LED fog bulb too.

I opted for the PIAA Crystal Ion Yellow fogs now, but will try these when one of mine eventually goes out.

Did you have an opportunity to evaluate the brightness of these bulbs?

Sorry, got side tracked....
I think there is brighter light. Like I said, since my windows are tinted so dark it's questionable. My main purpose was to get the license plate and reverse lights to go 6K color range. I would say yes, Pep Boys would always take returns if you didn't like them. They were actually the only retailer in my area that carried them. The license plate lights are a 194 bulb, and it's 10 minutes tops from start to stop to take the trunk liner off and replace the bulbs.

Anyone own a brilliant silver with camel interior SR without the sport spoiler? I think thats gonna be the car for me. Just saw photos of it and looked it up on a few dealer websites- looks like a hard combo to find but is awesome.

I got my 194 LED 6000k bulbs from Autozone. I also did them in the footwell, door lights and the trunk.
