Powerball Dreaming: GTR Engine/Drive Train Swap "Mothra"
In the build-up to last months's largest ever Powerball jackpot, one of the my fantasy island pieces would be a GTR powered 8th Gen Maxima with GTR AWD components. Call it Mothra.
My 2016 Platinum would serve as the donor car. I would let Stillen, Hennessy, Lingenfelter, etc...work out all of the details. You know like mounting the 3.8 litre GTR powerplant in an engine bay set up for a transverse mounted engine. How about fitting the Maxima with an AWD system? And maintaining all of the luxury sports car content that the Maxima offers. But of course.
I mentioned to this my 14 year old son, who is quite the supercar connoisseur. His response was "why?"
I explained that Mothra would be the ultimate M5, AMG hunter. Dream on...

I actually plan to do this. I already found a salvaged doner for 400$ 2017 8gen that runs just front end damage. Motor for 8k with trans. Rest is going to be fun. But I wanted to see if anyone else has done it before I attempt to cause I wanna make sure there is enough clearance for it or I'm going to probably have to extend front end for it plus bigger turbo clearance. Also building a custom wide body from LB Walk or RocketBunny to finish it all off. When it begins. Look forward to a post of the Instagram process unless someone beats me to it.
