I just inquired with my Dealership if they would install the Stillen Axle Back exhaust system... they said No that an aftermarket exhaust system would void the warranty and that they would not be willing to install it. Does this seem possible?

Possible to void the warranty? Only if the exhaust caused the issue and it would have to be proven. I would not go to a dealership to install aftermarket parts unless supplied by an automotive manufacturer...even then they will charge an outrageous amount for it. Any muffler shop should install this for you. If you're up to it and have the space/tools the install shouldn't be that difficult.

The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act requires manufacturers to honor their warranties and auto manufacturers only warrant their vehicles against manufacturing defects.

In other words, if your modification you perform on the vehicle caused a problem, then that problem will not be covered by warranty.

Should be simple to install. Just four bolts, Jack stands and a jack. Should be able to complete it in thirty minutes.

Which big brake kit did you go with? I didn't know there was one for the 8th gens.

I do have a few questions... What was the damage all in if you don't mind us knowing? How long did it take you to install? Is it night n day interms of stopping power? Very Interested in the setup!

I hope for Stillen's sake, Nissan never tries something like putting an attractive grille on the Maxima. Its a cash cow!

Is there a writeup anywhere that tells how to do this? I'd like to put the larger brakes on mine as well.

No !!! You have to have some mechanic experiences there some custom work you have to do cut or remove the rotors dust guards Or cut them of and need Q60 spare tire to the oem maxima will not work with big brake kit

A dealership would have a haaaaaard time explaining why your exhaust caused the problem. It should not void your factory warranty, but I always advise calling the dealership to see how they handle it. Or better yet, e-mailing your sales rep so you have it in writing.

Team Stillen,

Sorry to Jack the thread, but can you guys get a Coilover company to finally get a set for the 2016 max. I know some guys on the forum are using versions from the Altima, but want to make sure they have proper spring weight and brake line mounts. Can you guys contact Tein, BC, Ksport, Tanabe, etc.... to get the ball rolling.

And please try to make a replacement grill to get rid of the big nissan nose/badge. Sorry second request....

While we're at it...
Requesting for a license plate relocator. Have mercy on the maximas that are legally required to have front plates
