Good Morning everyone my name is Jared. I bought the new 2016 Maxima S last week. I absolutely love it. It has the Pearl White exterior with dark interior. I have been with Nissan since 2005 with the Altima then upgraded to the 2007 push button 2.5 S version. So it was a bitter sweet moment trading my old car in. I am new not only to this forum, but forums in general so please go easy on me I am still trying to learn the rules. I will post a couple pics and am more than happy to share anything I can contribute to the Maxima Community.

Welcome home. Don't be shy or scared of forums like these, you'll find there are more encouraging and helpful people than trolls and haters. At the end of the day it's your car and as long as it makes you happy that's all that matters.

Thank you for the warm welcome that means alot. This is my first time in a Max but I am no stranger to them. My grandpa had the old school 88 version and now has the 2005 model. I showed him this one and let him drive it and was really impressed. I know a lot of people don't think it's different. But you actually have to drive it and own it to realize it really is not like anything else in its class of cars.

Welcome too! The advice doled out here is always appreciated. What I like is we have every different type of owner age range and many varied interests.

Yeah that is definitely a plus. I am 29 and coming from an Altima which don't get me wrong is a nice Sedan just is a different world after driving this new Maxima. I added a bunch of after market parts to my 07 Altima, but I am not sure if I would do that a whole lot this time around. I told my dad (2015 Altima owner) I like your car, but I just can't go back to an Altima right now at least for this current generation.

It really is. For a base model that isn't so base. I look forward with working with everyone to get the best out of their Maxima and experience. So far I have only done a couple small changes. I have added LED bulbs to the license plate and the two front door courtesy lights. Next I need to replace the foot-well lights, but need to order more LED bulbs.

Edit: Also the trunk light. I think the glove box one may be a challenge to get to as most previous Nissan cars you had to take the whole glove-box out.
