Tail Light Out

After seeing mine, my good friend decided he needed a 2016 Maxima, too. He got it home and noticed that, unfortunately, half of the driver's side tail light is out. It's crazy that it would be this way straight from the factory. I haven't seen anyone else on the forum mention anything like this. I wonder if it's a bad connection or if perhaps it just didn't get connected at the factory.

Not sure if it could be connection,Fuse, LED issue. However, have him take it back to the dealership and they will fix it asap for free.

Yes, I think he was going to do that in the next few days. That's certainly a warranty issue.

I purchased a 2016 Maxima last Nov and my LED DRL on the passenger side went out. I took it to the dealer and they found out that the wire harness is bad. They replaced it for free.

Mine had a defect where only a few of the led lights were not working. It was the dealer that noticed it so they replaced it. I jokingly said how can the led burn out, they're supposed to last 20 years, lol.

I'll bet the tail light in the OP is a connector issue.

That said, LED's are like anything else electronic - if they're going to fail it's usually in the first few hours of their life. Once they get past that "burn-in" stage, they're usually good for a long time.
