Because of Exterior and Interior Design. Additionally, my previous Q50 had too many problems with the built-in device and back up camera.
Performance is better than Maxima to be honest, but for overall... I love Maxima more lol espcially beautiful 19" diamond cut wheels..(I think it is much better that black wheel for midnight version).

I had no idea the Interior would be better in a Max. The performance I can imagine would be a better engine and trany in the Infinity.

Bigger engine, not better engine. The Q50 got 21 MPG in Consumer Reports testing, while the Maxima got 25 MPG. The Q50 had an overall CU rating of 57, while the Maxima had an overall rating of 73. CU had many complaints with the Q50, and it was rated near the bottom of its category. Q50 reliability was black-balled (much worse than average). By comparison, the Maxima did far better.

Thanks informing me on that. I of course have never stepped that far up in the "Nissan" line, so the Maxima is the closest I have ever come thus far. But glad you enjoy the switch.
