Hey everyone,

This is the second week that I had my 2016 Nissan Maxima SV and I noticed that I can get feet from a object next to the sensor and it doesn't seem to work. Am I doing something wrong? I went to the settings and everything is on and I put the sensitivity to far.

I would appreciate any advice.

 

does your instrument cluster indicate that the sonar is active? I know on tight maneuvers it comes up on my instrument cluster.

 

Immediately comes on when I put it in reverse

 

There are lots of conditions and situations involved. As I pull into my garage, I get no beeps, although I come within 18 inches of the door frame on both sides. If I stray slightly to one side, where I am going to come within a foot or less of the door frame, I get a loud beeping. Same thing on exiting the garage. If my wife crosses in front of my car when I am in drive (or behind it if I am in reverse), I get loud beeping, even if my car is not moving. But if I am in park or neutral, no beeps under any conditions.

 

I get the sonar display on my dash when I put the car in reverse. I get close to objects but no audible beeps. Maybe I will have my girlfriend stand behind my car and see if it detects her. I will try again tomorrow morning.
