Yea I have the GCC version as well and there's no audio info on the ADAD

Btw, off the topic a bit, what does your horn sound like? For me it sounds like a low end hyundai or something of that sort. Its definitely not the same horn you get in the US Market.

Regarding the audio, I'll go to the service dealer, it must be some programming they could do, it's 2016. About the horn , your right, it sounds bad .

I don't think so,as long as it does not cause any damage to something else ,I'm going to change mine soon.

Yea I noticed the text message thing too.
Too many restrictions that need to enabled.

When you're playing music through a USB and have it on shuffle all, did you notice you can't go to the previous track? I'm using a hard disk so its a pain when you can't go back to a track you missed out while changing tracks.

Yeah, just one of many issues that made the Altima's sound system controls (USB anyway) far and away better than the new Max. It really sucks that that they eliminated so many nice features.

Hi Guys, Another GCC spec SR owner here.

Yes I dont see the audio file information on the display too and text messaging does not work . There are a couple of features taken off from the GCC spec...like Voice Commands... which ticked me off because the sales guy told me that it is available just before i bought my SR. No Rain sensing wipers too....but we dont really need them do we. Hey atleast you get an SR with all the other features that the US ones dont have... dual moon roof, wooden trim, premium leather seats, rear sun-shade, Around View Monitor, Climate controlled seats etc etc

Don't go with the User Manual because its a common one that covers all models/specs- US & the rest.

About the horn, yes they sound lousy and i had asked one of the service engineers when I dropped in my car for service. He said that its some new regulation to minimise sound pollution and that all new cars have the same horn now.

Well, are they getting it changed for you? Im only on 600 kms so when I do go for my first service, i will stress on the horn and the audio issues that i have.
Yea the SR we get here is more like a combination of the SR and Platinum that you get in the states. I kinda like that but I am still ticked off with these small little things taken off for the GCC spec car :

I havent contacted Nissan regarding the audio file display and text messaging. The text messaging issue could be a phone compatibility issue but i didnt bother because I dont text a lot anyways. About the horn, they said that its a regulation issue so again didnt bother.

Just checking....you dont have voice commands enabled in your car, do you?

Nope, there's no option for it in my car as far as I'm concerned.
Do keep us posted on what your dealer tells you about the audio file display if you get a chance to visit them
